Duncan Smith's Best of 1988 Mix




Duncan Smith was better known for winning the Mix Mag Jam and Lewis remix competition in 1988 and as a part of 'The Dream Team' with Steve Quirk (Jazz FM) on Manchesters Sunset Radio where he was also the Managing Director.


This best of year mix was produced for Mike Shaft's 'Back in Business' radio show on BBC Radio Manchester.


Sadly Duncan Died of a heart attack in 1999.

Chad Jackson's Best of 1985 Mix


Chad Jacksons Best of 1985 mix was broadcast on Piccadilly radio christmas 1985. By this time Mike Shaft had left the station for a show on BBC Radio Manchester (Back in Business) and the soul show was taken over by Lee Brown.
This is the actual copy of show.


Chad was one of the first British DJ to start DJ mixing in the early 80s. His regular live and recorded mixes on Manchester’s Piccadilly/Key 103 radio station had the whole of the North West of Britain with their fingers on the tape-deck record button. The original cassettes are highly prized today, with people inundating Chad’s website for copies of these famous mixes.

In May 1982 Greg began putting together regular mixes for Mike Shaft’s Piccadilly Radio Soul Show. The original mixes were live, but as the year went on Greg began to utilise edits to a greater extent, using the station’s editing booths to try out some basic ideas. By the end of the year Greg bought His own equipment, so He could make the mixes from home.
